What Is the Role of ANXA2?
SerpinB7 interacts with ANXA2 and reduces its NEDD4L-mediated ubiquitination and degradation. The accumulated ANXA2 can improve c-Myc mRNA stability and translation, increasing the expression of glycolysis-related genes such as LDHA, PKM2, ENO1 and TPI1.
Experimental suppression of SerpinB7 reduced glycolytic activity, cancer-cell proliferation, invasion, tumour growth and metastatic progression in preclinical models. However, SerpinB7 remains an experimental research target and is not an approved treatment for NSCLC.
